the unique thing about this restaurant is the decor which is not like traditional chinese, the food is good but a bit americanized for my teste. overall, it's a good place for chinese food. |

We have only gotten take out. But the service is great and the food is even better. All seafood is good, mongolian beef is excellent as well as the moo shoo. Must try garlic prawns! |

The takeout is always great from Uncle Yu's. I've only eaten in once, but it was a good experience. They had a very attentive staff and have a lot of choices on their menu. |

Uncle Yu is one San Ramon Chinese restaurant that I wish I could visit more often. It adds modern flavors and a touch of fusion style to Chinese cuisine. The food is always fresh, tasty, and presented in an artistic fashion. Sauces used to make traditional Chinese cuisine are made to perfection. Many restaurants use heavily flavored sauce to mask a poorly made dish. Uncle Yu's sauce is just enough to lend its own flavor to support the main ingredient but never over-shadows the intrinsic quality of the main ingredient. My favorite is the black bean sauce orange roughy. Service was always great. It can be a little crowded sometimes, but I had never waited for too long. Check out its extensive wine list. |
