Compare to the other swimming center in San Ramon - Olympic Aquatic Center, the Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center is really modest. It has no warm-up pool. Meaning kids who are still learning swimming can't use the facility. There is little common area. No lawn, no lobby. The play structure in the kiddie pool is like the ones people have in their backyard. In locker room there is no spinner that dries the swim wear. What a disappointment! With all the money I would expect a much accomodating facility. |
