The buffet style Inidan restaurant has been my favorite for years. If you like strong flavors you will like it. Kids eat at half price and they love the dessert. It is never too crowded but there is always enough traffic to keep the food freshly made. What I like best: Naan and papadum |

$12 for men's haircut is pretty good price. Plus the service is great and the place is clean. What I like best: the price |

I like renting skis here before I go on a ski trip to Tahoe because it saves me both time and money. One day adult rental is $25, the next day is $18(?). But once before a long weekend, I actually rented for two days for the price of one. It was definitely a great deal. |

A great selection. This place is probably the largest nursery in tri-valley. It only deals with contractors, though. All trees I bought from this nursery has been alive. |

If you have a boy and you live in tri-valley, this is a place you have to visit at least once for his or his friends' birthday party. It has a large selection of video arcades, a go cart racing course, a mini-golf, a small water play area and a laser tag arena. You can have a lot of fun even as an adult. It has a party area and offers pizza for birthday parties. When crowded, the room can be very noisy and stuffy. |

This Chinese restaurant in Dublin's Ulfert center looks a bit Japanese because the tables and chairs are tiny and cute. The food is very Chinese. The price may look more expensive than average Chinese restaurants but that is because the food is well above average. I strongly recommend ordering some appetizers, congee and pot stickers are my favorites. Kids loved the fried calamari. Also go for the juices and milk teas - they are delicious. The main dishes are of great portion, presented beautifully, and are well worth the price. I especially like the fishball noodle soup. The fishball tastes so much better than the ones you find elsewhere. It can be a bit salty though, so share with a friend. Because the restaurant is new, the service can be a bit slow sometimes. |

This Thai Basil Express at Ulfert center in Dublin is an offshoot of the one in Berkeley. The restaurant is small, but its food is great. I really like the flavor of the curry dishes I ordered. The fried catfish is also great. On top of that the prices are so affordable I even wonder whether they could survive on that. Our family of four had our dinner for under $30 and had leftover to pack. If you have kids, be sure to order their fried rice on kids' menu. It is not only tasty, its portion is so big it can surely feed a small adult. But the price is only $4.99. |

Gone are my days of going to Fremont to shop Chinese groceries. This place is new, spacious (more room than other 99 Ranch Market stores). It is now my weekly destination for shopping. |

I went to this place to rent a saxophone for my son's school program. The rent is $35/month plus two month's rent as deposit, which seems pretty reasonable. The owner was very patient in explaining things. They also have instruction books for sale. Overall it was a pretty good experience. I only wish the cashier had more smile on her face. |

Last year I hired someone from Mad Science to entertain kids at my son's birthday party. The price was a little steep - $180 for an hour or so. But the kids were surely captivated. It is not easy to keep a dozen kids in order at a party, so the money is well spent. |

SpeeDee is not the lowest price car service station, but it has been always reliable for me. The technicians were good at explaining what needed to be fixed right away and what was not necessary. For small jobs it is better than taking the car to dealers because dealers most likely will try to scare you into unnecessary repairs. |

It is well organized team with experienced coaches. Kids practice 4 times a week. My son absolutely loves it. It is a great way for him to meet friends outside his school circle. |
